What kind of medical care does my pocket pet need?

All pets – including pocket pets – need to undergo a full physical check-up at least once per year. This includes weight checks, dental checks/cleanings and diagnostic exams like bloodwork and fecal sampling. Your pocket pet will also need vaccines and if they aren’t already, they should be spayed/neutered to prevent any unwanted pregnancies.

What is the best food for pocket pets?

We recommend that you consult with us so we can provide you with a personalised diet tips for your pet. The best foods for your pet will depend entirely on their species and breed, as well as their age. For examples, chinchillas should have a diet comprised of about 80% hay, while hamsters can have a more diverse diet that includes fruits and vegetables. Ferrets on the other hand, need to eat meat as they are carnivores. Having the proper diet is so important because the vast majority of diseases or health issues pocket pets get can be linked to an improper diet.
